Blessed and at times cursed with an astute olfactory sense, the founder of Oak Haven Soaps smelled her way through the European countryside and some of the southern and western United States.

After she and her husband experienced several mild, albeit itchy, reactions to store bought soap, she decided to make her own soap and combine it with her favorite scents. She examined the properties of goats’ milk, shea butter, and glycerin. She collected and studied old herb recipes, and proceeded to experiment. Soon she began gifting families and friends with her creations. Several commented that she should consider selling her soaps and Oak Haven Soaps was officially born (or available for sale anyways) in 2007.

Oak Haven is planning to move into the crafting of lotion and sugar scrub in 2007.
